Suraj Komaravalli is CBM’s Regional Team Leader, Asia. He first joined CBM in 2008 as a Theological Education Consultant with the India Strategy Team. He was later named Team Leader for CBM’s ministries in India in 2013. In this role, he helped develop CBM Integral Mission strategies while managing partnerships. Suraj has since extended his leadership responsibilities to encompass new initiatives in Central Asia and the Philippines.
Suraj has been a lecturer and teacher at several colleges and universities. He has a Bachelor of Science from Calcutta University, a Bachelor of Divinity from Serampore College, a Master of Theology from United Theological College and a Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
Suraj lives in Hyderabad with his wife Prasanna, and two daughters, Selina and Mounica.
Prayer Requests
- One of the girls in Dimapur, Nagaland, India, who was one time a victim of sexual exploitation and forced to discontinue her studies, by God’s Grace and through the initiation of our Partner, Miqlat Ministry, is once again able to go back to school. Continue to pray for such vulnerable girls to whom we minister.
- Please pray for the Kui Girls in Odisha, India, who are blessed to continue their education while residing in a girls hostel. This initiation of CBM has helped to save the lives of many such girls who otherwise would be married off as soon as they reach puberty resulting in high infant mortality rates and mother morality rates. Please continue to pray for such girls.
- Please pray for the CBM SENT teams. Pray for the safety of every team member during their journey. Also, pray that their ground ministry plans will glorify God’s name and be a blessing to the local community.
- Please pray for the Asia Team – Lilian and Joseph in Thailand and Myanmar, Ella in East Asia, C P Raju in India and me, in Kazakhstan and the Philippines. Pray that the Lord gives us good health, guidance and protection and help me to provide strategic direction to ministry in Asia.
