Brenda Halk is the Senior Associate for Strategic Projects with CBM’s International Partnerships team. She collaborates with Vennture (Faith & Work initiatives) and Women’s Initiatives, focusing on gender-related organizations. Brenda is also the facilitator of the Groups of Hope Program. Brenda has served as a volunteer board member, facilitator for Discover workshops, and leader for SENT trips.
She is an accomplished speaker and has an extensive background with CBWOQ, CBW, and WICC. She is dedicated to equipping, mentoring, and training women to become effective agents of change in their homes, churches, and communities. She believes that work is a strategic mission field and focuses on assisting partners in discipleship, faith & work, and new income-generating initiatives. Brenda holds a BA, BEd, and is a Special Education Specialist. She has extensive experience as an educator and entrepreneur, with 20 years of experience as a business owner.
Brenda lives in Waterloo, where she is a member of Glen Acres Baptist Church. She has three adult married children and eight grandchildren. Brenda enjoys reading, sports, cottage life, sailing, and spending time with friends and family.
