Women made up 51.78% of Myanmar country’s population. Due to the Covid situation and the political unrest in Myanmar, the unemployment rate has risen recently. Many women are badly affected. Moreover, many women in Myanmar have less job opportunities because of being lack of skills. Through this sewing project, women have the opportunity to receive skill training in order to get decent job for earning good income. Thus, women have a better life and can support their families. At a result, women will be able to send their children to schools. The sewing training is run by members of Grace Baptist Church and participants are invited to attend church events, some participants are members of the church. The church is also planning to establish a business centre where products created by the women could be sold to help provide an income for the women and for the sustainability of the project.
