Mississauga, Ontario Canadian Baptist Ministries (CBM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Joe Bridi as Regional Representative, Central Canada, effective August 2024.

In his new role, Joe will continue the long-standing legacy of CBM’s relationship with Central Canadian churches in global mission. His focus will be to strengthen our bonds as Canadian Baptists toward a deeper understanding and practice of God’s call for effective global discipleship.

Joe says, “Transitioning to a new country is a journey filled with a wide range of emotions, from the thrill of new beginnings to the pain of leaving behind familiar faces and places. It brings an exhilarating sense of adventure as we get to explore different culture, learn new customs, and navigate a new environment. Amidst the excitement and occasional uncertainty, there is a comforting faith in God’s plan, trusting that this path is part of a greater purpose. This journey not only broadens horizons but also deepens spiritual growth, revealing to us God’s plans in the most beautiful ways.”

Having served as our Ministry Development Coordinator for the MENA Region since 2019, Joe will bring a unique perspective of CBM as Regional Representative. He has diligently worked alongside our MENA region partners in identifying key areas of focus for CBM to meaningfully participate with local communities. His knowledge of the global context will help engage Canadian churches with our work. Joe is an active member of his church in Lebanon as he leads the local relief ministry, Bible studies with refugees, church worship, preaches, and helps with a church plant. He holds a Certificate in Ministry from Arab Baptist Theological Seminary and, before stepping into his calling, he was educated and experienced in the field of commerce.

Adrian Gardner, Director of Canadian Partnerships, says, “We are excited to welcome Joe as the new CBM Regional Representative for Ontario and Quebec. His passion for the local church and his experience as CBM Field Staff in Lebanon will help him serve well in this role.”

Joe currently lives in Beirut, Lebanon with his wife, Alexandra, and their two sons. They are in the process of making arrangements to move to Canada. Please pray for them as they navigate this new chapter.
