CP Raju

CP has served with CBM in India since 2012. As Senior Program Coordinator, CP helps the community development team work towards integral mission. His key responsibilities include operations management, budgeting, personnel deployment, and project monitoring and reporting. Before commencing his service with CBM, CP was the community project officer at a hospital first started by Canadian Baptist missionaries. He later joined another CBM hospital in Serango, where he worked for 20 years as an administrative officer and community development project manager. CP was born into a Christian family in India, and his father was a pastor. He is actively involved in church and youth activities in the states of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh. He is a singer, as well as founder and honorary editor of a monthly Christian magazine. CP is married to Jane Swarna who works as an assistant professor at an Engineering College. They have two grown children, Rajedidiah and Shruti Jessica.

I thank God for His showers of blessings during these adverse situations. Though the year started with fear, it has ended with hope and joy. All our partners (excepting a few) continued their programs and completed their activities taking all precautions amid Covid-19.

Accomplishments

Meetings With Office Bearers

Meetings were held with the office bearers of ECM, UBCA, SBCMS, ABC, CRBC and CTC during this quarter. These meetings included discussions on the ongoing programs and plans for the new programs in 2021.

Workshop on Market Place Ministry

A workshop was held at Mokokchung, Nagaland state for youth on “Market place ministry” (Faith + Work) on 25th November 2020. The workshop was organized for the unemployed youth and the following topics were discussed.

  • Biblical understanding of Market Place Ministry (Faith + Work)
  • Business and the value of being a Christian.

World AIDS Day

World AIDS day has been observed at Christian Medical Center, Pithapuram on 1st December 2020. On this occasion a gathering was organized in the Chapel and nearly 100 beneficiaries suffering from HIV/AIDS participated. The meeting was started with a devotion and prayer and ended with fellowship dinner.

Partners Workshop

A partners workshop was organized at YMCA, Visakhapatnam for the UBCA, SBCMS and ECM on 7 & 8 December 2020. All the partners actively participated and presented their plans using power point presentation.

Inauguration of the Street

The ECM have with special interest cleaned, repaired, and planted trees on both sides of the road leading to the church. With the permission of local government officials and political leaders they named the street, “TEMPLE STREET”. I had the privilege to open the street on 3rd January 2021 after the church service. The ECM has arranged a love feast to the entire village on this occasion.

  • Pray for the healing touch of God on the nations especially on the people suffering from Covid-19.
  • Pray for my safety and health during partners’ visits.
